Schedule

Day 1: Friday, 19th June 2009

6.30pm for 7pm start: Kick-off event, Saltire Centre, Cowcaddens Road, Glasgow

The evening reception on the first day will be a chance to find out more about the projects we’ll be working on, matching yourself up with a team and getting to know people.

Day 2: Saturday, 20th June 2009

9am: Breakfast and registration

Bright and early start on Saturday where you’ll get you and your team set up in a space at the Saltire Centre.

This will be the pen-and-paper stage; scoping the idea, thinking about what you’ve got to create, how it’s going to work, who’s going to do what etc.

12.15pm: Morning round-up

Informal gathering to discuss how far you’ve got and find out what other people have been up to before lunch.

12.30-1.30pm: Lunch

Self-explanatory. There will be food.

1.30pm: Back on it

If you haven’t started yet, this should be a great time begin building your prototype – four/five hours of hacking stuff, designing campaigns, creating business models etc

6.45pm Saturday round-up

They’ll be another informal pit-stop in the afternoon.

7pm: Dinner

We suspect at this point some people will go to the pub, others will go back to their projects and the rest will scatter to the four winds to recoup for the Sunday.

Day 3 : Sunday, 21st June

9am Breakfast

More building time and polishing your pitch.

12.30-1.30pm Lunch

A quick break for lunch before crunch time.

2pm-4pm Show and Tell

After a sprint to the finish, everyone will gather to listen to each team tell us what they’ve been working on over the weekend.

Prizes will be awarded to the projects we think show most promise – further details can be found here.

4pm Pub, go home, sleep

Hopefully you’ll be going home with one, some, or all of: a prize; some interesting new contacts; new paths to pursue and be that one step closer to creating something interesting.

NB

You’ll of course be welcome to opt in or out of any of the above if you don’t want to interrupt what you’re working on. There are plenty of places to eat around the Saltire Centre and they’ll be a constant supply of caffeine etc in the building.

We want to provide enough structure to help you work together, but enough freedom to make your own way.

You do have to be ready to pitch your idea by 2pm on the Sunday however.
