I was thinking that it would be nice for a family with children who have no grandparents to adopt a gran, grandfather or both. I am aged 60 have not been married but i feel now i have missed out not having children therefore no grandchildren. I have neices & nephews & when i see my friends with their grandchildren I envy them. I sound a sad person i am not really. I just like children. Do you know if such a society exists or not?

[...] Still not sure about ideas? Well, take a look at some of those submitted for previous SI Camps. In Scotland last year, for example, one idea submitted was to create a tool to make police accountable to the public, a very pressing need in the Caucasus, while another helped coordinate and organize volunteers with specific needs in society.
Good idea. Exactly what I was looking for online. I tried Age Concern in the hope they would be able to match families to local elderly people who were alone, particuarly at Christmas but unfortunatley they had no such scheme. Would be good to liaise with charities such as Age Concern, Homeless charities too perhaps and would need to be non profit based. Not sure why you would need funding to set up.

This is a great idea and I was thinking about doing something similar. Has it been put into place at all? I plan to look into the LETS scheme but this does look far more what I was thinking about.

Well done to everyone! It looked awesome! To the organisers, well done for all your efforts and getting everyone together. Glasgow/Edinburgh we should do this more often!
